Hello everyone,
A big thank you to all those who participated in our second Sat catch up. Thank you Pablo and APNIC for the Zoom support.
There were about 11-14 participants and but due to a technical glitch, there is no recording this time. The highlights of the major discussions are below:
1. Goal Map: Thanks to our collective efforts we have the first cut of Youth4IG Goal Map. Special thanks to Elliot Mann from Australia for his contributions. Watch out for the final draft for review this week.
2. Buddy programme in Youth4IG- It was decided we will make contact list/database that also extends as a mentorship program and country/regional access points for promoting Youth4IG mission. Watch out for the volunteer call for a working group (now on WG) to facilitate this task.
3. Future of fellowship: There was consensus to start a WG to work on a feedback document on how to improve, enhance and give back to the fellowship programmes we have all benefitted so much from so far and going on. Watch out for the volunteer call for a WG to facilitate this task.
4. APrIGF engagement:The next big IG event in the region happening from July 16-19 in Russia will see a lot of Youth4IG members attend as fellows. Urge others to schedule time to participate remotely. We are hoping to bag a slot to talk about Youth4Ig goals (waiting for confirmation from Fellowship Committee) but until then its good for APrIGF Fellows to think of an engagement plan.
