NetMission (www.netmission.asia) is Asia’s foremost youth ambassador program for Internet Governance established in 2009. The program equips tertiary students with the knowledge and skills to be facilitators and leaders of youth discourse, engaging with government and industry to shape ICT policy and contribute to the community. NetMission gives aspiring young visionaries a platform to develop themselves and empower others to create a social impact collaboratively with a global mindset.
Core Elements of NetMission
NetMission Academy:
Participants will firstly go through a series of interactive online workshops over a two-month period during Jan-Feb 2019, whereby giving students the opportunity to connect and discuss with veteran guest speakers on topics from Internet ecosystem to how Internet impact the society.
Ambassador
Impact Projects:
Upon completion of the academy, participants will form working groups as NetMission Ambassadors. Under the mentorship of community and industry leaders, these groups will work towards advocating Internet Governance, and making it accessible to the youth of Asia. Part of this includes sponsored opportunities at regional and international Internet Governance conferences including APIGA, APrIGF, ICANN, and IGF.

Organising Committees:
Active and outstanding ambassadors will be
selected to join our existing regional Internet conference committees
responsible for coordinating all youth engagement activities at these events,
interacting with local and regional youth participants and the Internet
Governance community.
