The nomination period for DotAsia Board Elections 2025 ended on January 16, 2025. 

In accordance with the Board Election Procedures BEP, section 2.6. Dispute Resolution;  a 96 hours dispute resolution period, ending January 20, 2025, 23:59 UTC has now elapsed and I am writing to you to announce that the completion of nomination period results can be found at https://2025.nominations.board.dot.asia/ and for your convenience are included in the table below.

Nomination Results

The Nominations Committee has determined, based on the information available to it as at January 17, 2025, that all the Nominees meet the eligibility criteria to be nominated for the DotAsia Board Election 2025.

As per the Notice of Board Elections 2025, a Nominations Report  will be available by January 30, 2025.  Access to the report will be available on January 30, 2025 via the following link:  https://dot.asia/docs/elections/dotasia2025-nominations-report_R.zip 

Election Outcome

SPONSOR CATEGORY

Since the number of candidates standing for the election in the Sponsor Member category is equal to the number of vacancies in that category (i.e. we have 2 candidates and 2 seats) and one candidate meets the Geographical Diversity Requirement, no voting is required.  Maureen HILYARD and Jose A. LAY are therefore deemed elected as they are the only candidates in the Sponsor Member category.

CO-SPONSOR CATEGORY

Since the number of candidates standing for the election in the Co-Sponsor Member category is equal to the number of vacancies in that category (i.e. we have 1 candidate and 1 seat), no voting is required.  Akinori MAEMURA is therefore deemed elected as he is the only candidate in the Co-Sponsor Member category.
