Dear DotAsia community,

Reminder - Feedback on Proposed Amendments to the DotAsia Articles of Association 2023

First of all, we thank all those who have provided feedback and the expressed support for the proposed changes to strengthen the DotAsia governance structure at the Community Engagement session held online and at the IGF 2023 in Kyoto last week.  In case you missed the session, you can review the video at the bottom of the page here: https://www.dot.asia/proposed-amendments-to-the-dotasia-articles-of-association-2023/.

The consolidated feedback will be presented to the DotAsia Board.  It is the Board’s intention to call for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) and take measures in accordance with the current DotAsia M&A and the laws of Hong Kong to seek the approval of the amendments such that the new Articles will be in place before the next Board election to ensure that the reforms strengthening the governance of DotAsia will be in place to better protect the organization.

DotAsia Board Elections 2024

The first draft of the DotAsia Board Elections Procedures (BEP – an update of BGC-004) for the upcoming Board Elections have been posted at https://www.dot.asia/dotasia-board-elections-2024/.   Please provide your comment or feedback to boardsec@dot.asia.  The changes include improved processes to address issues raised previously, as well as in alignment with the proposed amendments to the DotAsia Articles (as mentioned above).

The DotAsia Board will consider inputs and further consider the BEP for 2024 based on received feedback.
