On behalf of the APrIGF Working Group on Global IG Processes (AP-WGIGP), we would like to share a concept note that the working group has put together on the proposed Open Dialogue Roundtable session on the topic of “Role of APrIGF in Implementing the permanent mandate of the IGF" that will be taking place on APrIGF Day 3.

Whether, why and how APrIGF repositions itself as a vital, effective and meaningful regional forum for IG issues, contributing to IGF
Strengthening the link between regional IG issues, data and global IG deliberations and decision-making
Enhancing multi-stakeholder participation within and from across Global (especially Global South) in APrIGF initiatives year on year
Resources requirements, sustainability needs for APrIGF to contribute and strengthen IGF’s permanent mandate
Why and how APrIGF can establish a vibrant, more regular, working and effective relationships with NRIs in the APAC region

If PC members are agreeable to the idea and direction of the discussion, the Working Group will look into suggesting some speakers and moderator who will value-add into the discussion.
