主题: [Tld_discuss] APAC Space @ ICANN Singapore, Tuesday 10 Feb, 18:00 19:30

Dear friends from the Asia Pacific community:

Time flies, it’s been a year since we gathered informally in Singapore during the ICANN Meetings.

We had quite a fruitful discussion during our last meeting, and there was good agreement that we should continue forward to share information and explore ways to work more collaboratively together into the future.  Once again, thanks to Kuek and the ICANN APAC team, we have obtained space for further meeting.  This time in fact, we are officially on the agenda as “APAC space”:

Time: Tuesday 10 Feb, 18:00 – 19:30

Location: Moor Room

You are all invited (and please pass this on to all others from Asia Pacific too) to the event and to share your ideas, experiences and concerns related to our domain industry.

The rough proposed agenda as follows:

1. APAC Registry & Registrar (Domain Industry) Information Sharing Session

   - market trends

   - local regulations

   - ICANN policies

(if you are interested to present your experience, please simply respond further on this list)

2. Issues of Common Interest in APAC

   - ICANN participation ROI

   - industry overall image

   - regulatory & policy challenges

3. Development of "APAC Space"

   - Continuing activities at ICANN

   - Beyond the ICANN venue

4. Future Activities

   - next steps between Singapore and Buenos Aires

The above is just a starting point to get our discussion going.

Please do feel free to jump in to add anything else you think would be relevant.

Best regards

Jian Zhang
