Dear speakers for APILP, Cc Peng Hwa/APILP Chair, and Jungbae/APSIG Thanks for your contribution to this year’s APILP. The final program for Day 0 is attached. For the final segment (17:30-18:30), Chat, can we have Bishakaa Datta’s email so that we can be in touch? Sharing some other important administrative note from the APrIGF secretariat and from APSIG: ==== 1. Presentation Slides (from APrIGF secretariat) Presentation slides have to be pre-uploaded to AdobeConnect in order to allow remote participants to read it simultaneously. We therefore need your co-operation on the below: • Collect the presentation files from you speakers in advance and send to 2016aprigf@nii.org.tw and sec@aprigf.asia with specified sequence of the presentations by 22 Jul (Friday). Appreciate if APILP speakers can send your presentations to me by 22 July Friday too, if possible. • Otherwise collect the slides on-site in a USB and pass to tech support before session begins • Confirm with speakers whether the slides can be uploaded to the event website afterwards as archive. Please let me know if APILP speakers have objections on this too 2. Online Registration (from APrIGF secretariat) Kindly remind ALL your speakers to register online at https://2016.aprigf.asia/registration/. Due to the large number of participants and limited seats for the social dinner, we would hope to reserve seats for the speakers first. Therefore it is important for them to have registered online so that we can arrange accordingly. 3. Agreement on sharing of presentation materials for upload into YouTube and for use during APSIG (from APSIG secretariat) ALL speakers, could you look through the licenses below (from APSIG) and share your agreement for uploading of your materials/recording to YouTube by replying to this email please. I would say that a significant issue everyone is wrestling with these days and one that could use the multistakeholder model is the issue of regulations for the “sharing economy”. I’m thinking in particular of services such as Uber, Airbnb. The only real answer to this is to incorporate government, business and civil society. Any one stakeholder would not yield a good result. Some related logistic considerations (for local host):
- If the APrIGF 2016 website and registration page could have some information about the Day 0 APILP program, while the planning team continues to firm up the program, that will be great. Sorry if I’ve missed them.
- At MSG, there was a brief discussion on the room capacity. I think it was a good sized room of about 80pax for Day 0. However, as some pointed out, if we have 60 yIGF participants (not sure I heard this one correctly), and with the 20+ fellows, there will be more than 80 participants, at least at certain times? In that case, we may need to have a bigger size room, since there would be other participants/newcomers to the APILP that is not yIGF or fellows too (including some of us here whom I’m sure would like to be in the room) :) How possible is that?

- Speakers, as you are on this list as well, please let me know if you have any issues with a video recording of your sessions. If no, I will work with APSIG to do a video recording of the sessions.

Apologies for the tardy response. Trying to catch up with the work.
I would say that a significant issue everyone is wrestling with these days and one that could use the multistakeholder model is the issue of regulations for the “sharing economy”. I’m thinking in particular of services such as Uber, Airbnb. The only real answer to this is to incorporate government, business and civil society. Any one stakeholder would not yield a good result.
Perhaps the legal counsel of one of these companies could be at the session to speak.
