Dear friends and colleagues,
To follow-up on the email below regarding APAC Space face-to-face meeting in ICANN57 Hyderabad (Tues, 8 Nov, 3:15PM – 4:45PM), appended below is a proposed agenda for the upcoming APAC Space that we would appreciate your comments on.
We have factored in some time for self-introductions by participants, as well as incorporated a section for general discussion on APAC developments. As mentioned previously, we are also working towards inviting the New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Policy Development Process (PDP) Work Track 1 co-group leads to come and join us.
In particular, please let us know if you would like to suggest any discussion topics, or raise any issues to discuss, under ‘APAC developments’ (section 6 of the agenda). We aim to send the final agenda to the wider APAC community and to publish the agenda on the ICANN57 public schedule by the end of this week.
Thank you and look forward to hearing back from you.
Warm Regards,

Dear friends and colleagues,
Further to Joyce’s email below, we have tried to find a best time to do the proposed APAC networking event, but even the 8 Nov evening date that Joyce had listed below now has a major conflict. In this regard, we think it might be best to not go ahead with the networking event. Apologies for the inconvenience.
We will focus on the APAC Space face-to-face meeting which will definitely take place on 8 Nov 3.15pm (local time). We’ll work to factor in introductions at that time. See you in Hyderabad!
Regards,
Jia-Rong

Dear friends and colleagues,
This is to inform you that we’re working on 2 APAC Space events for ICANN57 in Hyderabad, India. First, the upcoming APAC Space face-to-face meeting in ICANN57 Hyderabad is scheduled on Tuesday, 8 November 2016 from 3:15PM – 4:45PM (local Hyderabad time). We propose to continue discussion on APAC participation and contribution to the New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Policy Development Process (PDP), and focus our discussions on one of the PDP Work Tracks. We will update you with a proposed agenda closer to the event.
Second, as ICANN57 will be held in the APAC region, we would like to seize the opportunity to welcome our community members and propose having an APAC Networking Event. We suggest hosting the networking session as a pre-dinner event with drinks provided to allow our various stakeholders to meet in an informal setting and get to know one another better. We’re looking at Tuesday, 8 November 2016 from 6:30PM – 7:30PM (local Hyderabad time) as it is currently the only slot with the fewest schedule conflicts. Appreciate an indication from you on whether you will be able to attend the networking event at the proposed date and time. You may refer to the ICANN57 schedule at the following link: https://icann572016.sched.org/[icann572016.sched.org] .
Thank you and look forward to hearing back from you.

Dear friends and colleagues,
You might have seen an earlier email below regarding our ICANN Quarterly Stakeholder Call next week. I’m writing to seek your support to attend this call, which will be happening during our usual APAC Space web conference timing.
We’ve discussed on this platform and during APAC Space several times regarding the need for global calls to rotate time zones. One push back we’ve (APAC community) encountered and discussed before was that there were not enough people from the APAC region attending to justify rotating the calls. Now, we’ve pushed for this upcoming call to be in our time zone; let’s not give others a reason to say the same again.
Registration details are at this link: https://www.icann.org/news/announcement-2016-09-23-en
You will need to register to receive the dial-in details.
Grateful for your support in this. Thank you.

Subject: An invitation to the ICANN Quarterly Stakeholder Call on 18 October 0300 UTC / 1100 SGT
Dear friends and colleagues,
I would like to invite you to the next FY17 Q1 Quarterly Stakeholder Call, which will be taking place at an APAC-friendly time zone on 18 October at 0300 UTC / 1100 SGT. The original announcement and participation details are appended below.
At the APAC Hub, we have heard your feedback to bring such global calls to our time zone and to cover more local content. This Quarterly Stakeholder Call will be using a new regional focused format, and will include an APAC-focused update on top of the regular management updates. The detailed agenda will be updated in due course.
Please join us in this call, not only to get updates, but also for ICANN to hear from the APAC community. In the meantime, if there are any particular topics (related to our region) you’d like us to discuss, please let us know in advance by replying to this email (apachub(a)icann.org) by 7 October 2016.
I look forward to “seeing” you at the call, and will be most grateful for your support.
Thank you.
Regards,
Jia-Rong
